St. Paul Neighborhood Grant Applications Launch Soon
The city of St. Paul is gearing up for the opening of its much-anticipated 2025 Neighborhood STAR grant applications, set for March 31. This grant program aims to boost capital improvement projects that enhance the cultural and economic landscape of neighborhoods in St. Paul.
Empowering Local Businesses and Communities
Available to businesses and organizations that operate within the city limits, the grants are designed for long-lasting improvements, emphasizing projects with at least a seven-year lifespan. Most grants awarded will be $50,000 or less, making them accessible for numerous local initiatives. Applications must be submitted by May 2, and it’s critical that they are complete with all required documents to be considered.
Pre-Application Workshop: A Must-Attend Event
To navigate the application process smoothly, the city will host a virtual Neighborhood STAR Workshop on April 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. This event is an excellent opportunity for potential applicants to gain insights into the application requirements and to ask any questions they might have.
Long-Standing Commitment to Community Development
Since its launch in 1995, the Neighborhood STAR program has been an integral part of St. Paul’s development narrative, funding over 1,200 projects that uplift communities. Awardees like Gloria Contreras Edin and the Bertomeu brothers have testified to the program's positive impact on improving neighborhood spaces.
